Who Are Gord and Gertie?

Hello, there.

We’re Gordon and Gertrude. But you can call us “Grandpa Gordie” and “Grandma Gertie.” As our names imply, we’re grandparents and we love the Internet. Most of all, we love giving advice on this website to people who ask us their most pressing questions.

We’re not real, of course. We’re just two fictional characters. (In fact, we represent a group of about 50 passionate people who help write our answers for us. Yup, over 50. Just like our age! Wouldn’t you believe it?)

We may not be real, but our advice sure is. It’s simple, straightforward, and sometimes a little silly. After all, we’re just two giddy grandparents who’ve been around the blocks a few times. So we know a thing or two.

Sure, we’re not doctors or lawyers or accountants. What we offer here should be viewed as entertainment. So please don’t take our advice as anything official, or as a replacement for the help you would get from a competent medical, legal, or financial professional. Or any other expert, for that matter!

What we do here is put a sensible spin on expert advice, and throw in a little humor in the mix. (Take it from us. Life’s too short to be that serious!) We cover topics ranging from pets to parenting, careers to hobbies, relationships to lifestyle, finances to food, and everything in between.
